About Us
Meet the Founders
Kat Martin
Co-Founder & Mom
Kat Martin is a wife, mom, educator, and writer who loves Jesus and studying the Word.
She holds a master’s degree in education and instructional design and spent years teaching teenagers in the classroom.
Later, she was called into church planting, and spent the next decade building up churches along the coast of Florida. In that season, she was honored to serve as the Kids Ministry Director at Central Life Church.
After two decades of walking alongside families, she recognized a trend: parents want to raise their kids in faith but often don’t feel equipped to lead spiritually at home.
Today, Kat is raising three kids of her own—Ethan, Eliot, and Evie—and loves nurturing a sense of wonder as they explore faith and the world together.
Co-Founder & Dad
Rob Martin
Rob Martin is a husband, dad, and strategic leader with a heart to encourage dads to spiritually lead their homes.
He holds an MBA and began his career in public service and politics in Washington, DC. However, soon after, he felt a clear call to follow God into church planting. It was a risk that reshaped how he views faith, obedience, and leadership.
Rob served in a variety of roles throughout ministry, but the work he’s most proud of is leading alongside his wife in children’s ministry.
Today, Rob brings his love of strategic thinking and big-picture leadership into his work managing large, complex programs in the aerospace industry.
Most of all, Rob loves being a dad, spending time outdoors, trying big things with his kids, and showing them what it looks like to trust God and live courageously together.
Our Story
Then, during a season of studying Scripture as a family, we began to notice a theme: God chooses, prepares, and strengthens those who will carry His name forward, even when the culture pushes back. He calls those people the remnant.
Now wait a minute…That could be our kids! No, let’s rephrase it: that should be our kids.
But how?
After years of parenting, teaching, and serving families in children’s ministry, we kept hearing the same thing from parents again and again: I want my kids to love Jesus, but I don’t feel qualified to lead them.
We felt that too. As we raised our own kids, we wrestled with how faith actually forms at home, especially in a world that feels louder, faster, and more confusing than ever.
God always works through people who are willing to be set apart. Romans 11:5 reminds us, “So too, at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.”
Even now, even here, God is still preserving a faithful few. We don’t believe for a second that it’s an accident your child was born into this generation. God placed them here, now, on purpose.
Raising the Remnant was born out of a calling from God to be strategic and effective Kingdom builders. And we’re here to equip those who have answered the high calling of parenthood: to disciple our children to follow Jesus.
