The Remnant Story
Meet the Founders
Kat Martin
Co-Founder & MomKat Martin is a wife, mom, educator, and writer who loves Jesus and studying the Word.
She holds a master’s degree in education and instructional design and spent almost ten years teaching teenagers in the classroom.
After her time in the public school system, she was called into church planting, and spent the next decade building up churches along the coast of Florida.
She has since served on church staff leadership as a kids ministry director and has been certified in Theology from the Christian Bible Institute and Seminary.
Today, Kat is mom to three kids of her own—Ethan, Eliot, and Evie—and loves nurturing a sense of wonder as they explore faith and the world together.
Rob Martin is a husband, dad, strategist, and spiritual leader.
He holds an MBA and began his career in public service and politics in Washington, DC. However, soon after, he felt a clear call to follow God into church planting for a season. It was a risk that shaped his views on faith, obedience, and leadership.
Rob has served in a variety of roles throughout his ministry from campus mobility, administrative business, and community outreach. Today, Rob brings his gifts of strategy and corporate leadership to the aerospace industry.
Most of all, Rob loves being a dad, spending time outdoors, trying big things with his kids, and showing them what it looks like to trust God and live courageously together.

“My wife and I both work, we’ve got four kids. I often wonder if I am succeeding as a parent. I feel excited to seize opportunities for discipleship for our whole family. ”

What Raising the Remnant Believes
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is God’s true and special book. It tells us who God is, how much He loves us, and how we can follow Him every day. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15–17; John 3:16)
We believe there is one God, and He is three in one: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They work together perfectly. (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4–6)
We believe Jesus is God’s Son. He came to earth as a baby born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, helped people, and showed us how to love God and others. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, came back to life, and is alive forever. One day, He will come back again. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1–4, 1:29; Acts 1:11, 2:22–24; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Philippians 2:5–11; Hebrews 4:15)
We believe everyone makes mistakes and needs God’s forgiveness. Jesus is the only way we can be made right with God. When we trust Him and follow Him, He forgives us and gives us new life. (Luke 24:46–47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:4–7)
We believe the Holy Spirit is with us and helps us every day. He gives us strength, helps us choose what is right, and reminds us that God is always near. (John 3:5–8; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:16–18)
We believe that when this life is over, God will make all things right. Those who love and follow Jesus will live with Him forever. (1 Corinthians 15:51–57; Revelation 20:11–15)
We believe all people who love Jesus are part of God’s big family, called the Church. No matter where we live or how old we are, we belong to Him. (1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22–23)
We believe God wants us to tell others about Jesus and help each other grow to be more like Him. (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9–15; 1 Peter 3:15)
We believe God created families and designed marriage to be between a man and a woman. God made boys and girls on purpose, and each one is special and loved by Him. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5–6; Mark 10:6–9; Genesis 1:26–27)
We believe every life is important to God, from the very beginning to the very end. God wants us to care for others, be kind, and help those in need. (Psalm 139:13; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37–39; Galatians 6:10)
Most of all, we believe God loves us, listens to us when we pray, and invites us to follow Him with brave and faithful hearts. (Matthew 22:37; Colossians 2:6–7; 1 Peter 3:15)
